False Entrance
False Entrance is a very remote very small campground.
Booking
Bookings are essential and can be made:
- online and at this website only
- for one campsite only that you must camp on yourself
- up to and including the day of arrival (subject to campsite availability and your own internet service* to make a booking)
- up to 180 days (approximately six months) before arrival
* Check your mobile service provider’s coverage map but beware that the quality and reliability of service in regional and remote Australia can be variable.
Friends, family or other social groups travelling together who cannot be accommodated on the same campsite must make their own separate bookings.
The maximum stay in any park is 14 nights if any night is during Western Australia public school holidays, 28 nights at any other time.
If you are an outdoor education provider, licensed commercial tour operator or are organising an event (friends, family and other social groups camping together does not constitute an event), contact Steep Point Ranger Station (Edel Land National Park) to discuss your requirements.

Five rock surface campsites.
All campsites are unpowered.

Facilities
This campground has no facilities.
Campground Rules
You must bring and use a sealed-unit flushing chemical toilet or a sealed-unit composting toilet. Portable toilets that collect waste in a bag are not permitted. Burying toilet waste is not permitted.
Carry all sealed-unit toilet waste out of the park for disposal in an authorised dump point.
No campfires at any time.
No dogs or other domestic animals.
Generator use is permitted 8am-9pm only.
Carry all waste out of the park. No bins provided.
Fees
A per person camping fee and a per vehicle park entry fee apply.
Camping fee must be paid by Mastercard or VISA when booking.
Park entry fee may be paid when booking, on arrival at Edel Land (proposed) National Park or by purchasing a park pass and is required for motor vehicles only. Payment is not required for trailers.

Your safety and health
Drinking water is not provided.
No personal hygiene facilities.
December to April can be extremely hot and the risk of bushfire can be very high.
Storms are common between May and October throughout WA.
Edel Land (proposed) National Park is in very remote Australia.
Ensure you have sufficient supplies (including water, food, fuel, medication and first aid), and equipment and clothing appropriate for the conditions before travelling

Location
150km from Great North West Coastal Highway via Shark Bay Road, unsealed Useless Loop Road and single lane soft sand track. (430km from Geraldton, 3850km from Carnarvon, 200km from Denham).
Access for high-clearance 4WD vehicles with low-range gears only, and small high-clearance boat/camper trailers only. Reduce tyre pressure for soft sand access track. No facility to reinflate tyres on exit provided.
