Yonga Walk Trail
Yonga Walk Trail campground is for walkers on the Yonga Walk Trail only. It is not accessible by vehicle.
The trail and campground are open from March to November.
Booking
Bookings are essential and can be made:
- online and at this website only
- for one night only
- for the shelter or one of the unsheltered platforms only and you must camp on that platform yourself
- up to and including the day of arrival (subject to availability and your own internet service* to make a booking)
- up to 180 days (approximately six months) before arrival
* Check your mobile service provider’s coverage map but beware that the quality and reliability of service in regional and remote Australia can be variable.
Friends, family or other social groups walking the trail together who cannot be accommodated on the same platform must make their own separate bookings.
If you are an outdoor education provider, licensed commercial tour operator or are organising an event (friends, family and other social groups camping together does not constitute an event), contact Parks and Wildlife Service Turquoise Coast District Office (Jurien Bay) to discuss your requirements.
Campsites
One three-sided, roofed sleeping shelter and three unsheltered camping platforms for free-standing tents.
The sleeping shelter and each of the unsheltered platforms has a picnic table and benches.
Facilities
Drinking water not provided. Rainwater may be seasonally available but supply is not guaranteed and treatment is required to make safe for consumption.
No-flush pit toilet.
Campground Rules
No campfires at any time.
No dogs or other domestic animals.
Generators are not permitted.
Do not empty portable toilet waste into campground toilets. Carry waste out of the park for disposal in an authorised dump point.
Carry all waste out of the park. No bins provided.
No vehicle access. Park at the trailhead at Drummonds Recreation Area.
Fees
A per person camping fee and a per vehicle park entry fee apply.
Camping fee must be paid by Mastercard or VISA when booking.
Park entry fee may be paid when booking, on arrival at Lesueur National Park or by purchasing a park pass and is required for motor vehicles only. Payment is not required for trailers.

Your safety and health
Yonga Walk Trail is a 26km loop class 4 walk trail. The trail is steep and rocky in places. Bushwalking experience is recommended. The campground is 12km from the trailhead in one direction, 14km the other.
Drinking water is not provided. Rainwater may be seasonally available but supply is not guaranteed and should be treated to make safe for consumption.
No-flush pit toilets are the only personal hygiene facility.
December to April can be extremely hot and the risk of bushfire can be very high.
Nights can be cold from June to September.
Storms are common between May and October throughout WA.
Ensure you have, and can carry, sufficient supplies (including water, food, medication and first aid), and equipment and clothing appropriate for the conditions before travelling.

Location
Park at the trailhead at Drummonds Recreation Area 31km from Jurien Bay, 69km from Badgingarra, 48km from Leeman and 74km from Enneaba, via Cockleshell Gully Road and Lesueur Drive.
Access includes unsealed roads suitable for 2WD and AWD vehicles but road conditions can be variable and caution is advised.
