Perth Hills Discovery Centre
Small campground at the Perth Hills Discovery Centre close to Mundaring Weir that is open for public camping Friday to Sunday nights and Western Australia public school holidays.
Booking
Bookings are essential and can be made:
- online and at this website only
- for one campsite only that you must camp on yourself
- up to and including the day of arrival (subject to campsite availability and your own internet service* to make a booking)
- up to 180 days (approximately six months) before arrival
* Check your mobile service provider’s coverage map but beware that the quality and reliability of service in regional and remote Australia can be variable.
Friends, family or other social groups travelling together who cannot be accommodated on the same campsite must make their own separate bookings.
If you are an outdoor education provider, licensed commercial tour operator or are organising an event (friends, family and other social groups camping together does not constitute an event), contact Perth Hills Discovery Centre to discuss your requirements.
Campsites
Twelve wood chip surface campsites that are suitable for freestanding tents and swags only.
Parking is a short walk from the campsites.
All campsites are unpowered.
All campsites have access to a firepit and picnic table. Some campsites are very close to one other campsite and those campsites share use of a firepit and picnic table.

Facilities
Drinking water.
Flush toilets.
Hot water showers.
Food preparation shelter with gas barbecue, fridge and dishwashing sink with hot water.
Campground Rules
Campfires when conditions permit, in provided fire rings and from 6pm to 11pm only. Usual permitted season: April - November. Check current campfire conditions
Bring your own firewood. Check current restrictions on the movement of wood, including firewood. Collecting firewood and kindling is not permitted in national parks and other conservation reserves.
No dogs or other domestic animals.
Generator use is not permitted.
Fees
A per person camping fee applies. There is no vehicle entry fee for Beelu National Park.
Camping fee must be paid by Mastercard or VISA when booking.

Your safety and health
December to April can be extremely hot and the risk of bushfire can be very high.
Nights can be cold from June to September.
Storms are common between May and October throughout WA.
